I think they just want to see what kinds of topics we have on our forum. Guests can only see/access a limited number of our discussion areas. To see the rest, they have to register for an account.

Not necessarily. A lot of people "just want to see".

B A is correct and while at times it can be worriesome, it is no big thing as we are a lot nicer and kinder here!

I usually am the first to catch a new signee and always pm them to give a welcome to them while other site's do not.

But one reason a site grows is if people post and keep it flowing. If a site is slow then people get bored and do not post or come back. My 2 cents.
